The battery is actually double platted with metal that is quite protective.
There is no car with a better safety score than the Model S. The Model X could be far superior with minor modes compared to any Caddy.

Yeah. I see the POTUS driving over 300 miles in a limo every week.

Marine One is for anything outside of a city. Jeez. Are we even half-awake here commenters?
Yeah. Electric motors have no track record.

You're making it more complex than it is.
You can get parts for anything and still get it fixed. If there is a market. You have no point.
There are no laws that require dealers to stock 20 years old parts. You have no point.
Tesla doesn't ban service on their cars. You have no point.
If many Teslas are sold, there will be a market for parts. You have no point.
If you buy a Tesla and there are a million of those Teslas sold, you will be able to get service. Even if it's not from Tesla. You have no point.
And yet I run stable bioinformatics servers and workstations on Fedora. I use opensource RadeonSI on workstation and home theater.
Somewhere your system got borked.
Giga, as in many Giga Watts of cells produced per year.
I have a NUC in my study. Zero noise.
My HTPC is a 17W Xeon (want ECC) E3-1220L v2. I keep the drive array inside a wooden cabinet, along with my UPS. So almost no noise from this one either.
For my fun toy computers, I have a few SGIs, which are a great blast-from-the-past in reminding me what computer used to be like.
But I'll never buy a new, high-wattage, loud computer again. 20W and less, for me!
mythosaz is full of it.
Tesla is not paying to fill up all EVs. Tesla only pays to fill up Teslas.

Sorry. You can't tax a Fundamental Right.
Might as well try taxing people for reading or voting. Not gonna fly.
Indeed, Tesla is fighting a war. That is when an obvious FUD attack is launched causing the stock to drop, I buy a few shares of TSLA. It's not a lot, but I'm helping screw over the shorters and the ICE/oil cartels.
Before Newton, I owned no semiautomatic rifles. I now own two m1a rifles and nearly 100 20&30rnd mags. Plus many thousands of rounds.
Gun control is dead.
Gun free zones kill.
You seem to be lacking in the ability to make distinction. So I'll break it down. Real. Simple.
Ford. Whole car burn for no reason.
Tesla. Front trunk burn after high speed collision.
Ford. Bad safety.
Tesla. Good safety.
More like, "A neanderthal ICE lover gets angry at progress."
No shifting required to make these Fords burn... the joys of spontaneously combusting gasoline-based vehicles.
One way to make your old car run better is to look up the price of a new model.
