Comment Ah the memories. (Score 1) 192

I had the 500 and got a 2000 later on. Installed a SCSI controller with 40 megabytes of disk space and a 8 megabyte RAM expansion card. Took forever to install all the memory chips in the card(62 or 72, cant remember if it had a parity bit).
Also had a vt200 terminal from work which i connected to the serial port so I could access the cmdline while someone was playing games. I guess it was most for show. :)

As a "former European" you should know how crazy it is to claim that Europe has some sort of common values.
There are no "European values". There's a bunch of countries with different values who happens to be in a trade union together.
It is only the politicians who have been lying about the EU and are trying to make it into United States of Europe who will claim we have a "united Europe" with the same values. Every single true European knows each country has it's own values.

Because for some reason people think I am interested in watching hours of videos of them going down a slope, riding a horse or pretending they are in Tour de France.
And they don't even bother to edit it down to a couple of minutes.
No, they have hours of footage showing off their below average skills.
I do like seeing bits of vacation videos but not really when it's just video selfies.

Falling a sleep in the train on your way home is a good way to get your phone stolen, even here in Denmark.
I don't use public transportation now but when I did, I always slept most of the time and woke up just before my stop. Overslept once in 8 years. Now it is unsafe to sleep in the train and the advantage is gone.
I didn't have a smartphone then but I did have a discman, a laptop and later on different MP3 players. We also didn't have open borders all the way through Europe and all the "lovely" people removing the borders brought us.

We are starting to hear stories about people who had their phones stolen in Scandinavia, getting calls from Eastern Europe where the new "owners" of the phone wants the password for iCloud so they can use the phone.
Some have offered a small amount of money to get their password others have been angry with the rightful owner that they couldn't use their phone. Go figure.
