The one thing that I always thought would be an awesome implant was the URAT (Universal Reader and Translator). Be able to translate any language that you see or hear on the fly. Speaking it would still be a problem, but can you imagine being able to understand most anyone on the planet and the barriers it would remove. If everyone had them it wouldn't even matter about the speaking because your native language would be translated for them as well.

Um, who cares if it's live, going, or in a pile in a room. If it has valid data on it it is still a viable target and needs to be secured in whatever way is necessary. It's even worse if it was a system that was still online, supposed to be marked for decommissioned and they just didn't keep up on securing it anymore.

I like the new mobile site it is very clean, but the biggest problem I have is you can't select your comment score threshold. I like to browse from 2 to 4 depending on the number of comments I get back, but the "Top Rated" link doesn't give me as good of control over what I want to see at the time and quite often I'll get 1's in there.

My only other issue is that it is *very* touchy and sometimes trying to grab the screen to scroll gets interpreted as a tap and it loads up the article.

Other than that, great job guys!

Already has once. I had a '01 Intrigue with OnStar that required an upgrade because it still used the old AMPS system. Plus side was it had a 3-watt transmitter (unlike the normal 0.6-watt on a cell phone) and the analog network covered damn near 99% of the US even in the middle of nowhere you'd have perfect signal. Downside was I think they wanted something like $400 to do the upgrade and I was getting rid of my car anyway.

So what is exactly is suffering for gaming? Has the hardware been gimped? Can you not just pop a game in and play it? The XBox is being slotted as a media platform, not just a gaming platform and it seems to be doing that rather well, just look at the sales. Just because it's not the uber-hardcore gaming machine you're expecting does not make it bad. If you really want that go build a PC. But as long as it plays games and you still have access to game content, all while providing additional entertainment and media options, I fail to see the issue.

To be honest, I use mine mainly for Netflix and other media related options. Occasionally I do play a game, so it fits perfectly for me. It's no longer just a "gaming console".
