Comment Lemme get this straight (Score 2) 65

You have 2 companies who each end up in the bottom 10 of the country's most hated companies, both are considered monopolies, and yet somehow, due to, I dunno, campaign contributions, you think letting them join forces to fuck their customers more than each entity alone can do, is a good thing?

I hate the D's and the R's equally, who the fark can I fire for letting this merger go through? Oh, none? You mean, I'm helpless? If I say any more I'll have agents from DHS at my door before my alarm goes off tomorrow morning.

Yep, first website I gave my CC info to was hothothot.com, back in, dunno, 92/93. Ordered hot sauce, the standout was Sriacha, aka Rooster Sauce. Website is long gone, as are the other things I ordered to get free shipping, but I go through 3/4 Sriacha bottles a year to this day. I think the Rooster sauce was the thing I used to push shipping to free, funny how things work.

Comment The HDMI dongle I want (Score 2) 106

Plug it into my TV, then let me stream music/video from my laptop. My laptop is harder to lose than a small remote (hello Roku, lost your @!#$$ remote over the holidays), usually within arms reach, can access my 3 TB NAS, and is easy to get content onto. My TV is plugged into my stereo, and the stereo remote is not only nice and big, but gets used several times a day. Currently the only way to play my music on my stereo is to burn a CD.

/ not picking on you Roku // I seem to have issues with small, seldom used remotes

Comment Re:Thunderbird? (Score 1) 296

I run Thunderbird on my laptop. It connects to gmail, downloads my mail, and lets me sort the mail into folders. Not to mention always having a local copy of my mail. Couldn't tell you the last time I went to gmail.com from a browser.

Don't even get me started on tags. I hate tags, don't understand why anyone would like them. Put my mail into folders and leave me be.
