Please review my comments over the past many years :) I was pro - microsoft and now after Post XP I am against Microsoft due to the increasingly crappy OS's they release.

Anyone who likes the stupidly long search times, and the complete pc lockups that occur because Microsoft has repeatedly released OS that were progressively ( i can't find a word to express more than abysmal) are really encouraged to keep modding me down.

I hope that one day you are held up to a spotlight and identified for keeping a person hating what MS does down.

After windows 8 and the swing to a sandbox I keep wondering why Microsoft and its stupid decisions isn't being driven to the ground over a what should be a superior product.

Lemont Illinois got hammered in the 70s-80s, plainfield,il got blasted in the in the 90s - and in the 2012 era the tornadoes have swung south of I-80 or along that line.

This is a tiny fraction of the area that three gigantic walls are supposed to do something to protect.

Anyone who thinks that Man can build Tornado Killer Walls should ask themselves why we can't predict gigantic storms on a regular and professionally reliable basis less than three hours in advance , but can back "tornado killing walls" and saying the science is settled - this can be done.

I think we have a better chance of predicting an earthquake or volcano sometime in the next hundred years, than we do predicting how to stop tornadoes from hitting the midwest in the near future.

Please rethink it and keep it in California.

That way it's easier to change it from year to year. Less travel when you have to choose who shoots first and add fart jokes.

They also own Palm OS, don't they? That ran on hardware not much different in basic architecture than what's being proposed here, though on a much smaller scale. I think I still have a Palm III kicking around at home somewhere; it had 2 MB of SRAM to hold software and user data. Instead of needing to load programs from some other form of storage, it would execute them from wherever in memory they were stored.

It isn't just 'diagnosed with a mental illness', the proper term is 'adjudicated'. Meaning, you go before a judge and they decide you are unfit to possess a firearm. The other method the mentally ill are barred is following (and during) a stay in a mental health institution. Of course, these rules seem to be decided by the states, but most include similar language that does not include simple 'diagnosis'.

Start up/shut down times are nominally much improved due to hardware states not having to be reinitialized from scratch every single boot. This also assists with a higher function, low power sleep mode.

Problems with the ugly start menu can be resolved in part using the Windows 8.1 free upgrade, the Update 1 (adding more desktop-friendly features back into the UI) and use of the Windows-S search feature to quickly locate programs you frequently use. I don't often go to the start menu myself, I open the Search utility and find my app in as few keystrokes as possible. It isn't perfect, but it (combined with the core re-architecture mentioned before) makes Windows 8 very usable.

Even the smaller collection of components within ISEE-3 is able to act on radio input to control thrusters, instruments, and such, and to route instrument outputs to the transmitter to send them back to Earth. If you're talking about running a server on their network, they want you to fork over the extra $$$ for business-grade service. I did that for a while, but residential service and a VPS are faster and cheaper.

Most forum software search functionality sucks burro balls. This isn't just an issue for support forums for a product, but web forums in general. In most cases, though, you can use Google (or whoever) to search the forum and get the results you need.
