We'd explore more if the politicians could figure out how to make money on it. As it stands, screwing with the people is much more lucrative.

I remember years ago when you wanted a drivers license you actually had to learn how to drive a car. Now all you have to do is learn how to point it in the direction you want to go.
The only thing mentioned that's true sci-fi would be star trek. The others are either sci-fantasy or border on it.
Sure it will. But that's if you know how to wash your hands in the first place. Most just throw a dab of soap on them, rub and 3 seconds later rinse. Might wash some bacteria off but if it doesn't... it's still there. Not to mention under the fingernails where you'd need a brush to scrub.
Problem is... they know where you live.

Still the most potent anti-biotic on the planet is plain old penicillin. And no, Amoxycillin and all its derivatives aren't the same and aren't better. UNLESS you are allergic to penicillin. Then you have no choice. Thing is, penicillin is about a nickel a pill and it works much faster. No money in it for the drug companies.
Same with sweeteners. Still the safest on the market is saccharin. But the patent ran out on it so the drug companies again needed a way to make money.
