Comment 100 MB? (Score 1) 140

Surely that can't be right. What can you do with 100 MB?

Not even Verizon can be that cheap..

The last game that I really dedicated time to was Resident Evil 4 (played on the GameCube).

It was just a good game, that even managed to scare me more than once.

Tried the previous RE and RE5, but they didn't do it for me.

It's just that governments have used built-in taxes to hide how much taxes are really on products.

OR they do it so that it's much easier for the customer to know how much to pay when reaching the check-out.

I HATE shopping in the US because you can never really know how much you'll end up paying until you reach the check-out.

1999 called, they want their webdesign back.

Seriously though, why spend all that time on a (fairly?) big project like an NLE and not spend a few hours at least to create a nicer website? Or ask someone to do it for him, if he lacks the skills.

Simple website is ok, but not one with a design from 1999. I find it very difficult to take it seriously..

Seriously... if you went out to the local bowling alley, and the guy on the desk said 'You're a fucking thief, and a liar, and we'll be watching you. Here's your shoes and have fun!' ... I would not be having fun at the bowling alley.

The guy at the desk also have to tell you to wait 20-30 mins, even though all the lanes are free, because that's how long it takes to fire up a lane.

Submission + - OpenBSD developers

paltemalte writes: "OpenBSD developers are worried that the new Free Linux Driver Development program will backfire on the BSD community by giving vendors a new excuse for why not to release full specifications of their hardware. As we all know this is a battle the OpenBSD camp especially have fought for a long time now. Is this new free-driver initiative really a threat? Many OpenBSD users and developers alike seem to think so. An open email to the people behind the free driver initiative was just sent."

Submission + - Ebay lose the plot

Devon Dan writes: Ebay have announced that they are to start charging users $5 to use their service. In a BBC article it is claimed that trials in the US will soon require users to log in using a key code generated by a security token in an attempt to defeat phising attacks. This move seems to not only be hugely inconvenient (in that you will need to have the thing with you when ever you want to log in or buy a new one if you lose it) but to have almost no security value other than to prove you have a token.
