Using only my left hand with either a standard or a turbo SNES controller I beat Super Metroid in about 9 hours (Yes that's somewhat of a long time, but it was my first playthrough)

I'm STILL proud of that today. I think you need to look at what areas you can simplify the use of the controller, and perhaps change up a few games if your arm isn't usable.

I admit I'm not familiar with the case and didn't read more than the summary, but even in an instance where someone breaks into someone else's network shouldn't it still be considered copyright infringement and not stealing when the original owner isn't being deprived of something?

While it may lack in variety, I often prefer to spend what little time I do have to play games in skirmish offline or against bots. I find that better than dealing with most of the bullshit online. Yeah I know your counterargument, if I spent more time finding good players or servers it isn't really a problem. I just don't want to. Bots don't go berserk or disconnect or lack (albeit often predictable once you've played a game enough) skills, or any of the other usual multiplayer complaints.
