This whole deal trying to shrink a PC into a tablet form factor has been tried, tried, tried again, tried yet again, and ultimately, failed. PC tablets are a joke. The Tablet market needs its own Operating System and its own Platform. I'm very happy that Microsoft is trying its hand in shrinking Windows into a metamorphic interface that can adapt to the form factor (A La Windows 8). But that OS is over a year away. Android and iOS did it right, and others are following. Take the hint, HP. You should have gave your WebOS tablet another chance. Not revert back to a failed product. Morons. -T

Another hopeless attempt for a government to control something that's completely uncontrollable. Look at some well-known attempts at making things "Unable to be copied; completely under our control" (I'm looking at you DVD, BluRay) How long did it take to crack the encryption key and sail right on to making copies? Seriously, pass this, and watch the chaos. They seriously need to learn that this is one thing you cannot, and never will, control.

I saw this one coming, especially with the way WinRT is going to be laid out. But then again, I don't see the issue. You can install another browser and no even bother with IE. IE no longer has the monopoly it did, and for the first time in a while, IE (and finally Windows) has to fight to stay relevant. Especially with the Smart Phone/Tablet market gaining some serious speed. Even Linux and OS X are making a little more headway. Windows is still the desktop Juggernaut, but it has no appeal, and when consumers find somewhere else to go, they flock to it. MS is learning that the hard way. On the flip side of that coin, lets look at iOS and Android, they bundle a browser even more deeply integrated into the OS. So, you do have a choice out there now that makes more sense. Microsoft will get it eventually, or die off.

Its easy. Stop trying to be Facebook. There are too many sites now that are just photocopying Facebook. People want something different, that is what drives competition.

I can understand that, really, I can. However, I think this is also subject to the bandwagon effect. The fact that the bug has been around for at least a year, has been flagged "Won't Fix" for around a year, and been discuss internally/externally for the same length of time, makes this a prime candidate for people just looking for a fight and a reason to make Google out to the bad guy once again. Its not just Google either, Its been Apple, Microsoft, IBM, etc, etc. People just look for a reason to Bitch and complain. That is why I don't think it should be taken into such seriousness to merit front page status. Its just begging for a flame war to begin over something as simple as swapping a toolbar.
