Firefox blocked self signed certs. It used to warn and allow an exception but no longer.
I don't need to spend time or money to tell me who I am. What is the problem of me signing my own certificate?

Sales and Marketing may have more information to give than accounting. Just remember they hold the cards to all future sales while accounting just has the past. Of course your mileage may vary.
I have to agree that XM is full of ads. Almost every station has an announcer talking after every second song announcing something or other. It may not be full fledged ads as in traditional radio but I wish that they would just shut up and play music. Someone promoting something is an ad for me.
Yeah, the toner is pricy (Brother is cheaper than it's competitors but its still not cheap) but but if you're like me you only need to print once a month the utility is worth the price.
Refill your own and the price drops considerably. Buy a kit http://www.inkowl.com/index.php?p=product&product=3408 to reuse your cartridges. By installing this kit on my printer I am still using the original toner. It's been over a year and over 3000 color pages printed. There is a lot more toner in those cartridges than you think.
Then every website in Canada would require a license because it's broadcasting. The fact that it's video makes no difference. The CRTC has no business on the internet unless it's someone capturing a broadcast signal and streaming it. Even then I would say it is a copyright issue.
I say that in the 18,000 is more than one.
It's amazing how people are born with skill sets and training has absolutely nothing to do with it.
The programer that they want to hire costs less. That's it. That's all.
I hardly wear jewelry but prefer having a watch when I vacation than a phone. Simply put the cost of a phone while roaming is beyond my budget a TAG or Rolex is not. Now if you always stick close to home your mileage may vary.
Try bringing your phone underwater to 1 foot or on a swim and come back to me on that one.
On another note drop the watch from 6 feet and notice that it only has a scratch. Drop you smartphone from a foot and pray...
If you are too lazy to set the time and date get a Citizen Eco-drive with atomic time sync. Never need to charge. Never looses time. Last longer than a smartwhatever.
The problem I have with all these smart gadgets is just that they are gadgets which don't last in regular use. I'm not talking about anecdotal evidence here. Most jewelry watches as you call them last for generations. Most smart gadgets last a couple of years. They are built to fail or become useless within 3 years so you can be sold the new shiney... Now don't get me wrong I believe there is a market for a smart watch. It would have to follow traditional watches rather than the disposable nature of the smartgadget. It has to be more than the current fad.
We live in a society which has set certain rules that govern our behavior for our survival. We defined terms as best we can in order that all members of our society are treated the same (as best we can). Not a perfect system for sure but your interpretation of kidnapping plays with the definition in order to make your point. The definition of kidnapping is not just the fact of holding someone against their will because if it was then all parents could/would be accused of kidnapping.
The discussion is about discrimination and not oppression. You can be discriminated against without being oppressed.
Sorry don't have mod points but I'd mod you up.
What I see with the limited data is that the average sale will bring you more from iOS device but you will make more sales from Android devices. Android has a better penetration on more demographics than iOS. Which is common sense that the more expensive devices will sell to more affluent individuals. No kiddin Sherlock.
Is this news? I bet if we compared BMW owners to Kia/Hyundai owners we would come out to the same conclusion. For sure BMW owners would pay more for tires than Kia/Hyundai owners but the total revenue from Kia/Hyundai owners on tires would be more than BMW. BMW owners would have a higher average price for sure.
Really? What risk? I have the same situation. They are custom cash registers which would require hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace. to you it's a computer to my client it's a fancy cash register. He tried to replace the business logic by off the shelf software but none would meet the requirements. So his choice is to spend hundreds of thousands on redeveloping his cash register, buy off the shelf software and hire additional staff to meet the requirements, or go to discount stores and pickup the stuff that is been thrown away?
Yeah Win95, Win98, NT are still going strong today and they will for at least the next 10 years. Maybe by that time the off the shelf software will catch up to his business logic. It's not for you fine, but I know for a fact that if he would have followed MS current he would have spent over a million just keeping up with the times. The code is completely debugged in the last 20 years of operation and a solution that none of his competitors can match.
to the package that is sitting on my shelf... nice.
Can we please stop this foolishness. Now I'm off to reddit where I can enjoy my free time.
Once more in plain English Beta is broken and the link to classic doesn't work. Stop wasting our time or there won't be anybody left here.
Personally I don't care what OS I use as long as I can accomplish the task at hand. I find all OS's missing some functionality. Some do it deliberately and others are missing the developers and/or resources. Android is my preferred mobile platform and OSX is my referred desktop platform. As it stands now both will lose from this choice since I may go for the Air instead of a combo.
If the first link is an ad and it's what I'm looking for does it matter?
How ads are identified doesn't matter when it is evident it is an ad. What matters is that I find what I'm looking for on the first page with the least amount of clicks. As a customer of Google I do not want people who are not looking to buy to come to my site. If someone is looking to learn about diamonds they most likely are not looking to buy. So a generic search of diamonds may lead to a page of jewelers a user would not click on any ad links but would refine the search. If all users are stupid and click on links identified as ads for jewelers then jewelers sales will not improve and advertising costs increase or be less effective, therefore they may stop advertising with Google.
In order for Google to continue being relevant they need to be relevant to people who search otherwise Google's product dries up. If ads are relevant then I don't care
