Ever since the Google+ marriage to YouTube if I click on a comment to see what it was in response to, it opens up a new tab and still doesn't show me the parent post. I'm using the latest version of Chromium and have YouTube whitelisted in my JavaScript blocker, so I don't know what the problem is.

Because they were considered a security hole. That was true, but only if you were using shady gadgets. If you want them back in Windows 8 you can use 8GadgetPack or better yet, use a different gadget engine like XWidget.

I don't have a problem with digital distribution, so long as companies cannot remove access to paid for content, hold it hostage and/or prevent me from making my own backups. gog.com is the only service which has done this correctly, in that I can download what I buy and write it to whatever media I want, ensuring that I can keep copies for as long as I please.

It's unfortunate that there are no video services that allow people to do the same. I suppose you could vidcap your purchases and burn those, but you shouldn't have to do that.

I would go so far to say that Freelancer's keyboard/mouse flight set up surpasses flight stick controls. It was just that good.
