My favorite is when the PM has had the project for two and a half months before they bring it to you and now it's due in two weeks but is at least four weeks worth of work. Everyone goes the extra mile to make up for the PM procrastinating and get it done on time but the PM still get's credit for a doing a great job.

It depends what you are talking about... My brother in law used that same saying "It's better to ask for forgiveness then for permission." when it came building an oversized deck on his house, then a privacy fence, and some other remodeling all requiring a permit. It didn't work out for him.

Presidents don't pass legislation on their own it has to go through the house and senate and unless they have the support of both, they either compromise to get legislation passed and make a small accomplishment or throw out a bunch of legislation that goes nowhere and accomplishes nothing. This is how we get presidents that promise big then deliver on little if any of their promises.

I used to work at a convenience store when I was in college. People would walk in and shop lift right on camera and never notice even though there was a sign on the door and the camera was in plain site with a monitor hanging from the ceiling that showed what it was recording. I doubt a camera will cause them to be distracted.

I rarely go to malls or cd stores anymore but I was at the mall with my teenage son not to long ago. The local hot topic has game, movie, and pop culture t-shirts and hats all displayed at the front of the store and as you go farther from the front door the content becomes more adult until you reach a door that says "you must be 18 to enter".

The pentatonic scale is usually the first scale taught to beginning guitarist because of it's easy fingering positions and is in almost every beginners guitar books for rock or blues. Actually if you are playing anything written before 1700s on a modern instrument it will not sound like the original because we now use a different tuning system. Imagine that if in order to change keys you would have to re-tune your instrument I can't imagine playing in the mean tuning used prior it would sound slightly out of tune.
