Just a question. Is there anyone out there younger than around 40 who uses VIM because of their own choice?
I'm 45 now but I picked Vim because I liked it about 8 years ago.
Does anyone do any kind of development for apple without using xcode? I've never even heard of another editor in common use on apple.

I've been using Linux and Windows varients professionally for over twenty years. I'm sorry to have to say it but Linux distros never really get past that functional prototype feeling. The mix of bleeding edge, inconsistent design, playing catch-up with commercial apps and "if you don't like it, fix it yourself" never fails to slightly disappoint.
But fortunately, a lot has happened since 1998.
