Information Week is now serving IPv6 AAAA DNS records for public websites, joining sites like Heise and nixCraft that have already deployed IPv6 well in advance of World IPv6 Day on June 8th. Still notably absent? Slashdot. Lame.

An anonymous reader writes: Apple's iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, the iPhone 4, and iPad models are also keeping track of consumers whereabouts. Mac computers running Snow Leopard and even Windows computers running Safari 5 are being watched. But the question is why? "To provide the high quality products and services that its customers demand, Apple must have access to the comprehensive location-based information," Apple says.

No, Chrome is going to run into the hurdle first, and after they fix it via a name or numbering scheme change, Fx will surely just follow suite ;)

Yes, after 30 years, they are still going to be called Firefox and using the same numbering scheme.

They do not have any of the features of Fx 5 implemented in them, yet. Right now they are mostly just bugfixes and improvements that are going to be released in a few weeks with the minor Fx 4 update. And 4.1 is taken by mobile. And minefield build numbering is automated so you probably should not base anything off of them (e.g. Fx 4 RC was always labeled beta 13pre in the nightlies).

Coincidentally, I had to reinstall Steam on my Windows box, for some reason :-/ wouldn't let me log in via the client, but the web interface accepted me. And trying to do a repair install kept throwing an error, so I had to tear open the .msi and run a few components manually. Installing via WINE was a lot easier >_>
