Just because your contract is up does not mean you need to sign a new contract to get a new phone. If your phone wears out faster than your tablet, that is because you are carrying your phone every day, constantly cycling the battery. Your phone really is nothing more than a small tablet with more wireless options.

Let's see you try to overthrow your government and post about it on the internet. Let's see how long you keep your free internet access (and your freedom in general).

You missed his point entirely. What you're pointing out makes the kid's comment even sadder.

Yeah they had two agents get into a fight right behind him and when he jumped up to see what was going on (just like anyone would do) another agent snatched the laptop and started the task of getting evidence off it and mirroring the drive's contents.

The FBI is often really fucking good at what they do.

Raise your hand if you immediately started thinking about how you would mitigate this. Voice commands? Bluetooth remote in your watch?

But how well would it work for people with prescription eye glasses?...(snip)...3D movies are ruined for folks with glasses - try stuffing two sets of glasses on your head for a couple of hours - it flat out sucks.

3D movies still have never delivered on their promise for anyone. It's just not a comfortable format for film.

Eventually the ransomware people will get patient and encrypt your files but allow access for 3-6 months before telling you.

That isn't quite how this ransomware works. It isn't encrypting and decrypting your files on the fly, it encrypts your files so you can't use them. What you're suggesting is much more complex and opens up many more opportunities for defeating the malware--for instance, the decryption key would have to be stored on the infected machine.

I don't know. Maybe I'm still in the sweet spot of Nethack enjoyment. I've dabbled for ~15 years and have yet to ascend (because I'll binge play it then put it down for months or years). The jumble of fantasy and other popular culture elements is still refreshing, and reminds me of early text adventures like Zork or Adventure/Colossal Cave. If there are no real visuals, to speak of, then I appreciate that I am being asked to imagine something other than straight up Tolkien-esque fantasy.

All that said, Brogue is the most enjoyable RL I've ever played and the one I'd recommend to beginners.
