Who has lobbied for this? What businesses, or churches, are pushing for this?

I use MATE, anything is better than Gnome 3.x. It's a shame, Gnome 2.x was great.

To be fair, Gnome 3.x sucked before the systemd abomination.

We are trying to get more Americans in STEM, but until we have enough, we need more H1Bs.
