I work for a small non-profit regional ISP in NC. We are a staff of seven supporting over 100K internet customers from government (NOAA is our biggest bandwidth user at ~800Mbps) to education. We have been using InfoAtHand's CRM, which is built from SugarCRM for over a year now and it works great.

Sun has done more to alienate it's customer base than any other company out there, except SCO. They wouldn't know a customer if it piddled on their trouser leg.

A Java app store? Seriously? Is there really a need for such a thing? I rarely EVER use Java unless I have to, and then I can probably find a way to do without it.

I'm 36 and I have to say that I've found that the 'younger geeks' are, while talented, very immature. They have few social skills and do not comport themselves professionally. Now, in some places that might be fine, but in this economy and with the importance IT staff have now, that's unacceptable. I say, get the degree, I think you'll find more willing employers than you might think.

Well, I gotta say, I'm convinced now more than ever that I did the right thing canning my TV service. Oh, I have a TV. I just download my shows, burn them to DVD so the family can watch them, but that's it. I am APPALLED at this bullshit. Syfy? Really? What halfwit jackass marketing exec came up with nonsense? Obviously they don't have children. NO ONE shortens Sci-Fi to Syfy. It's SF always has been.
