Yes. However, Democrats usually do not run around screaming about less government and reduction of civil liberties. Rarely have I ever heard a Democrat claim to want less government, as R's from Texas have a bad habit of doing. I am not surprised by the bill, or what it plans to do. I am fairly liberal guy, but one thing I usually do not support is reduction of civil liberties, either directly or indirectly, if at all possible. I know there is a sliding scale, or slippery slope when it comes ot laws and how they are viewed, especially as precendent. Even though this law will not affect me in any way directly, indirectly it pushes the scope of government to control us even more. I do not like Cornyn, Republicans, or politicians in general. I do wish they would try to preserve as much of our liberties as possible. I did not intent to ramble. My apologies.

Once again a Republican, this one from my state unforunately, will try to take away civil liberties for "protecting the public". They (R's) claim to be for less government, but they are seriously are wolves in sheep's clothing. I do not mind more government honestly, I just dont like hypocracy.
