The team at Destructive Creations has also released a short teaser trailer for Hatred — and if you were hoping for something other than mindless slaughter, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Submission + - Hatred is the neo-Nazi hate-crime of video games (playerattack.com)

dotarray writes: Ultraviolent games are nothing new, but new indie game Hatred has a specific target in mind. The development team behind the project are members of white supremacist neo-Nazi hate groups, so it's no surprise it's the game's non-Caucasian characters who seem faced with the most explicit deaths.

Submission + - Pro-gaming team banned: "Too good to be girls" (playerattack.com) 1

dotarray writes: An all-female pro-gaming team has reportedly been disqualified from a Dota 2 competition because they're too good at the game. Organisers at the recent Girls Wars SEA event felt that one of the members of team Dolls plays the game "like a boy", and has kicked the whole team out of the contest.

Yes, that's the original version of the game that caused so much drama when it was initially submitted nearly 5 years ago and played such a big part in the push for Australia's adults-only rating.

Submission + - Valve sued by Australian consumer rights group (ACCC) (playerattack.com)

dotarray writes: Valve is being sued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) over allegedly making "false or misleading representations" when it comes to consumer guarantees. Turns out that even though Valve does not have a physical presence Down Under, the studio's still bound by local consumer law.

Submission + - Is this a Robin Williams tribute in World of Warcraft? (playerattack.com)

dotarray writes: A non-playable character known as Robin the Entertainer has popped up in the latest beta build of Warlords of Draenor. While the studio is yet to make any formal announcements, it's believed this could be (part of) Blizzard's tribute to comedian and avid gamer, Robin Williams.

Submission + - Nintendo plans Pokémon Trading Card Game for iOS (playerattack.com)

dotarray writes: After years of saying it'd never happen, Nintendo is releasing a game for iOS. Pokémon Trading Card Game Online is officially headed to iPad, due out by the end of the year. While it's not necessarily the gotta catch 'em all RPG fans have been asking for, it's still a nifty little offering.

Submission + - Valve's Source Engine 2 found in Dota 2 toolset (playerattack.com) 1

dotarray writes: So it looks like Valve might have tucked a little somethin' extra into those Dota 2 Workshop Tools launched earlier today. Snooping around inside the files has revealed what may be the first official evidence of the company's Source 2 engine — because why would that need a fanfare?

Submission + - Free copy of The Sims 2 contains SecuROM (playerattack.com)

dotarray writes: By now, everybody should know that if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Let's apply that to EA, shall we? The publisher is giving away copies of The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection, for free... and not mentioning that it includes the controversial SecuROM anti-piracy software.
