Submission + - Building an Open Source Business Environment

An anonymous reader writes: As someone at the helm of a startup firm, we are currently in search of solutions for our business needs. With the maturity of many Open Source tools, we are currently looking to create an environment totally powered by these solutions. What does the Slashdot community feel are some of the best combinations of software and hardware for:
1. Network/Desktop Infrastructure, such as imaging, deployment, etc.
2. Mobile email messaging (i.e. BlackBerry-like devices)
3. Tracking systems for project management
4. Payroll and HR tools
5. Other software to ease employee interaction and collaboration

Basically, what are the visions the Slashdot community has of a business ready to scale, operating off of a fully integrated and functioning Linux and Open Source environment? Is it possible, or are we still sometime off?
