It was the cheaper consumer models that were affected. Retail profit margins are so thin that manufacturers and retailers make up for it with preloaded crapware.
This may have been true at one time, but I don't think it is the case any longer. I think that the ubiquity of cheap components and the falling price of Windows for OEMs, the profit margins have been steadily increasing over the years.
I think it is just that OEMs have become dependent on the revenue stream they get from app developers who want their software included in the base image.
I would assume that this is a "one time" thing... even still, how can you expect everyone to have an Internet connection? This is America after all....
People rent cabins to watch DVDs?
Buy some old CRT TVs, that would seem to fit the cabin experience better anyway...
Yes, as much as I hate to admit it, I have had WAY more Linux servers exploited than Windows servers.
I have set up hundreds of Windows Small Business servers and less than half as many production Linux servers. I only recall having 1 Windows server exploited, and that was because the customer set up an admin-level user with an extremely simple password and then opened RDP to the world.
On the other hand, I have had several Linux servers exploited via ProFTPD, Horde, Sendmail and other vulnerable services.
yeah, they could get the DJ 3000 to replace JS....

Except that CC most likely has way higher viewership numbers. A lot more people have CC than HBO.
I can see how it could be attractive in the short term to go with a lucrative HBO contract, but you run the risk of dwindling into obscurity since you are no longer a household name.

I don't recall the last time I voted but I would definitely "get out the vote" for JS.
I kind of think that the problem with politicians is that they are constantly looking to "spin" every situation.
I heard gunfire from my hotel room, I have been told that there are snipers all over this area... I could legitimately say we were under fire... right?
Obviously, sir, you have the wisdom of age.

I think Jon's skill as an interviewer is unparalleled. His wit and charm always impress me. It is always apparent to me that he puts a great amount of thought and energy into the show.
However, the dick jokes really start to wear on me after a while. Seriously, try to find a single episode in the last 3 years that does NOT have a dick joke.... I doubt there are any.
Not to mention that a single drug-sniffing dog can only operate for a few hours before needing to rest, otherwise the rate of false positives start to go up dramatically.
I don't think he was talking about heartbleed. I think he was talking about GOTO FAIL
Who would complain about a *default* password they didn't like? They already bought the widget and have the ability to change the password... Who bases their buying decision on the default password of the device?
