Now don't go getting all technical and pointing out history and such. Actual facts often destroy the liberal narrative.
Yeah, because all those things that need automating in a home are never connected to a power source and all those things doing the automating cannot possibly draw any power from the lines they are installed to switch on and off.
But most delivery drivers do not have special sections of the tax code devoted to their retirement benefits either. The line between federal employee and private employee is quite blurred at times with railroad employees.
Why did you leave out Salt Lake City, UT and Zurich, Basel, Bern, St. Gallen, Luzern, Geneva and Lausanne, Switzerland and probably every other major city in Europe for having "light rail systems run in the street parallel with cars." That is probably a more common situation that having subway or elevated rails.
I have no use for Amtrak.
Why the hell should Amtrak receive any federal funding if it is a private corporation as people claim. Amtrak should raise their rates enough to operate in the black like all true private transportation companies are eventually forced to do or cease operations.
Nascar Race? You mean because they "raise" the flag and sing the National Anthem before the race and usually launch fireworks after it? Nearly every sporting event in the US starts with raising the flag and singing the National Anthem. I've been told Toronto (Ontario, Canada) Blue Jays (Major League Baseball) games are preceded by two national anthems. I see a few Canadian flags here in Wisconsin along with some Swedish and Norwegian ones as well. Plenty of Mexican ones flying in early May. I haven't heard of anyone getting to upset by it.
"Otherwise public transportation doesn't fit into my lifestyle". See, the problem is that you are doing it backwards. If you want to be "eco-friendly" and "green" and all that other crap, you have to fit your lifestyle into "the good things."
Most freeways (autobahn equivalent) in the US have a speed limit of 65 or 70 mph. 55 only happens in large urban areas and on the two lane highways.
Government agents looking to score a big payout are not exactly independent now, are they?
How can one claim to "not use Facebook" while visiting Facebook pages?
No, not all contexts. The contexts where it is not unreasonable are the contexts where the person losing property is actually charged and convicted of a crime. you know, the case where civil forfeiture does not need to be used because criminal law is in play.
The 4th amendment was put in place mainly to stop stuff like civil forfeiture from happening.
Not really. It would not be a 4th amendment violation because you would be agreeing to have it installed as a condition of having your car registered which we have already agreed, society as a whole, is not a violation of any rights. This is much clearer an issue than we can force you to buy health insurance or tax you for not doing so because your not having insurance might negatively affect interstate commerce.
I recommend he quit lying about how crappy things are but that's just my opinion.
