Maybe that's what they want, de-Internetize the world.

Yes, control of communications is extremely important to any powerful organization. Social control equals more profit. Balkanizing the system with multiple tiers and incompatible protocols is the most efficient way. Make the people change trains at every border. And don't lose your iPhone cable.

Eh, whatever... What happens in the future will depend on the people we elect into office. If we buy what they're selling, waddya gonna do?

A kill switch is not socially useful, except to the social dictator. The delusion of reducing theft, and other petty crimes is a perfection distraction.

"They", the people we surrender our authority to, are abusing that authority. That is scientific fact. "They" sell that abuse as beneficial, "for the children", national security, etc, so everybody goes for it. I guess you bought into it yourself.

The vast majority of your deities, including today's most popular ones were conjured up by winos and opium addicts. Mind altering substances are a very major part of religion, and most other facets of life.

Plenty of people have met their ends while high because of that.

Not nearly as many as are killed by fanatics, and falling off a cliff is probably better than spending years in the inquisitor's torture chamber. Like they say, *when you're dead, all your problems are solved*.

You say drugs distort reality, others say they reduce distortion. So, you never know, all those pink elephants and old men sitting on clouds might really exist. You just can't see them without putting yourself into a trance, either through rituals and mantras, and/or a little extra help from a friend. I consider the intent of getting high is to escape the drudgery of daily bullshit from other people telling us how to live our lives. And besides, who's to say that escaping from "reality" is a bad thing? We're all entitled to some time off. Who is anybody to deny us that?

I don't think so... A lot of your "reality" is wishful thinking, speculation, and just plain hogwash. You can't really say that the druggies are any more harmful to the species. I mean, you can, but you'd be wrong. They're not trying to force their "reality" down everybody's throats. When a group of people who witness an event give entirely different accounts, when the brain has to filter out and literally invert most of what enters through its senses, your "reality" becomes mighty suspect, merely a matter of societal/cultural consensus. And the word "illicit" is bogus, a result of whimsical, arbitrary, capricious authority.

Dogma or drugs... Hmm, what to choose... Both are very useful in crowd control.

Are you one of those people who want to sanitize war and make look all glorious and stuff? You know what's fucked up? Not since Teddy Roosevelt... Well, not since, like, ever, but borders were never meant to be universally applied. Kinda funny when it all coincides with the big rise in nationalism we are witnessing throughout.
