And yet I bought an Apple desktop this year. Got a mini cause I couldn't justify buying a Pro. If Apple was selling single CPU mATX type systems priced and spec'd about the same as the iMac line I would have bought one. I not asking that Apple sell this kind of computer for dirt cheap or to cut their profit margins. Honestly, Apple could sell it through the online store only and keep out of the brick and mortar stores. I just want a computer that would be the equivalent of the $1600 PowerMac I could get years ago.

I'm with the parent. I had a MDD G4 until recently. I broke down and got one of the new minis cause it finally supported dual monitors. Though I wish Apple had a $1600 box that I could expand down the line. With 1 PCIe, 1-2 PCI, and 2-4 drive bays. I would have gladly given Apple the extra $1000 for that box. Especially if I could have thrown in different processors. My PowerMac 7500 was great for the time, I had 601, 604, dual 604, and g3 processors in that box.

I feel there is a hole in the mac line that the pro-sumer wants. Yes, it may be a bit harder to support with generic hardware. Apple can be dicks and claim to only provide support for official hardware. As I said before that's the Mac I want to buy.

This is one of the things that sold me on TiVo the first year I had it. I added "The Tick" to my season pass and it got every episode regardless of where Fox moved it to. Trying to keep up with scheduling moves that Fox makes is a nightmare.

As for Futurama, at the end they stuck it on Sunday night at 7pm. At best you got to see the show already in progress because of football running long.
