E-cigs are capable of delivering a great deal more nicotine than a traditional cigarette. It all depends on the concentration/density of the e-juice you put in your atomizer. If what you say is true about e-cigs not working then it is probably not the nicotine that offers the relief, but some other chemical.

I was wondering about something of this nature. I saw an episode of mythbusters in which they tried several methods (one of them being blinders), none of which were successful. My idea would use just a couple of high-intensity IR LEDs around the license plate (something they never even considered). Anybody know if this idea would work?

Clock speed is not everything. You need to consider your cache and bus speed as well. It it were a car, it would be like comparing the displacement without looking at the horsepower or torque. While it may be a generally good metric, it doesn't always hold true. An atom processor only has between 512k to 1mb of cache and clocks around 2GHz on the high end. A P4 on the other hand has 1-2 mb of cache and clocks at around 2-3 GHz. If power consumption isn't an issue, the P4 is the obvious winner in my opinion.

That's all well and good, but some of us like to keep our warranties intact. I'm about to get an iPhone4 (not my first choice honestly, but AT&T is the only provider in my area with decent service ATM and the jesus phone seems to be the best phone they offer) and I would love to unlock it and be able to do with it as I please. I know you can buy an unlocked iPhone from Apple now, but why do that if I'm going to be paying the same rate (i.e. no discount for bringing my own phone) either way?
