To solve the problem of recharging such a crazy big battery system I propose a merger of the 2 "greenest" technologies. Just have a passive recharge system based on hydrogen. Fuel hydrogen tanks, easy to store and fill up and then use those hydrogen tanks to recharge the battery as you drive (preventing megawatt recharge stations). That way you get ridiculous range, 0 emissions (except water) and unless you're driving continent to continent no real urgency to fill up the tank. Synergy FTW!

I've been using Microsofts OneCare security suite for over a year now and I absolutely love it. It has been able to stop, detect and remove and lot of pieces of malware, spyware and trojans. I can see how Microsoft got a bad rap in the past, and I used to believe Microsoft software in the security field was unreliable but OneCare has changed my thinking. I think Symantec might be rushing to judgment a bit quickly but time will tell whether Microsofts new innovation is a worthwhile endeavor

The logic behind this joke is as follows: The pornography industry plays a large role in determining which technologies evolve and end up as industry standard (mini dv, blu-ray, to name a few). As such, the joke above was playing upon this unfortunate determinant by poking fun at the fact that pornography can play a role in high technology even though in this case it obviously wouldn't (thus hyperbolic satire). I apologize if mod points were wasted rating this down, I'll try to avoid being so crass and childish in my future posts.

While I don't think an EA football title is the perfect example of artistic expression... it is nice to know that the supreme court is finally giving artists of the digital age their due. There's a reason game design and computer graphics is always filed in a colleges Art's and Sciences program. It's because these fields are the best of both worlds. As a college student I don't really carry much sentimental value towards textbooks. I hate them because they're expensive and I would love for a cheaper replacement. Unfortunately the Kindle is not it.

I have a kindle and I love it for when I'm traveling and just reading a novel or a few articles but I tried using it as a textbook replacement and it was miserable. The difficulty of trying to multitask switching between pen and paper and scrolling pages with the kindle is too time consuming and frustrating.

If future e-readers and e-textbooks can integrate interactivity more effectively I might give them another try, but until then I'll take my chopped up trees please.

How about we find a useful mission for the billions of dollars in research we have just sitting around NASA? Like a mission that would improve the quality of human life instead of watching m&m's floating in zero g. I'm just sayin...

It's important to not overlook the overhead required for successful product distribution. You need an entire branch/ sector to make sure the product arrives everywhere it needs to on time, gets placed on the right shelves. The company needs to pay salaries and benefits for a group of employees who manage this. Although the physical product and packaging might be cheap to produce, making sure it is properly distributed and keeping store inventories stocked is more difficult than one might think. While it might only cost $10 to ship a case of games, maintaining the relationship with retailers and knowing where to ship the games costs a lot. Digital distribution will help cut these costs and should hopefully reduce prices (although publishers are evil and probably won't pass the savings on to consumers).
