That's the Hamas charter. It won't take long to get to the part in the preamble where it quotes Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna:

"Israel will rise and will remain erect until Islam eliminates it as it had eliminated its predecessors."

Also check out articles seven and thirteen for a brief but concise education on Hamas and their foundational beliefs regarding dealing with Israel.

Another choice quote from al-Banna:

“It is in the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.”

Let's try this one from Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Muhammed Badi:

“...the Muslim’s real enemies, not only Israel but also the United States. Waging jihad against both of these infidels is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded.”

Muslim Brotherhood's mission statement:

Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Qur'an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope. Allahu akbar!

This may not clear up your hatred of the Jews, but it will at least help you deal with my "big lie".

Bonus round: This is the photo of the grand Mufti of Jerusalem meeting in with Hitler in 1941, in case you want to deny the Islam-Nazi connection too. You wanna guess what they were talking about?

I tried the Google DNS servers with no luck. At first I too thought it was the intermittent Win7 stuff coming out of hibernation because that was my use case, but my wife's iPad and our cell phones were also taking forever to load a page, mostly hanging at the very beginning of the request.

Anyway just cancelled Comcast yesterday and my pages load blissfully fast at 15Mbps as opposed to taking forever at 50Mbps.

I can understand wanting to save money by putting tech script as the first line of tech support, but it gets a little tiring when want to skip to the advanced folks and still they want to stick to their script and ask me to reboot the modem as if I hadn't done that 3 times already. If it isn't low hanging fruit for the script readers it's not going to be a very successful or efficient support call.

Seems some DNS issue that isn't solved by reboot kept all of the devices in my network from getting reliable connections for about 10-15 minutes after starting to browse. I did some of the obvious stuff; reboot modem, try other DNS servers, etc. Doesn't matter now. Switched to FiOS and now pages load before I can blink.

The racist extermination war is currently being waged by Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood, et al who actually, as a point of fact, have jihad and the extermination of the Jews in their charter. If Israel wanted to take over Gaza for oil they would have done it already, and they would not have pulled out all their settlements for the last peace "agreement" that always seem to only go one way.

The reason they haven't done it is simple; it's not their stated goal and it never has been. On the other hand, Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood etc have jihad and extermination of the Jews in their charter.

And when they're done with the Jews they're coming after the rest of us infidels. Domination and subjugation is at the core of militant Islam. That's not islamophobia; it's history. Remember when that caliphate thingy was the kind of kooky stuff that kooky conspiracy theorists talked about and the brilliant intellects at CNN ridiculed? Wanna look at ISIS's little bit of handy work in Iraq and what they're calling themselves? (hint: it rhymes with aliphate)

One of the helo officers claims this thing went from 0-2000 ft in 2 seconds. I'll believe that out of a model rocket, or maybe a Diamond Dust with a tuned pipe, but not out of a quadcopter loaded down with a camera. This officer was likely exaggerating what he saw for effect.

I've personally seen how the rotorwash of a helo more than a half mile away turned over a 25 lb aircraft during a design competition fly-off back in my college days in Florida. Damn good pilot from Univ. of Puerto Rico recovered a highly loaded bird from fully inverted and brought it in. I have no doubt that a 5 lb quad-copter would get tossed around like a speck of dust. Either they weren't that close, or the autopilot did a hell of a job keeping the thing upright and under control.

That's progressivism for ya. Turning ever-more basic traits of human nature and existence into "rights" people are entitled to and building up the grievance industry. Because progressives have twisted the perceptions of economics and morality according to Marxist principles and the risk/reward/consequence dynamic that is a fact of life. It's not a moral imperative to create jobs. It's a moral imperative to treat people well, and how that translates into pay is totally subjective and legislating that will always hurt somebody. Hiring is done as a necessity to support the business, not the employee. The pay should reflect the value that the employee brings to the business, balanced against the revenues. If the business operates at a loss, or does not generate enough profit to stand for itself and build a healthy reserve to sustain itself during lean periods, eventually the whole thing will come down and the job creators have to consider this at all times and adjust accordingly, otherwise EVERYBODY loses their job.

The point I was trying to make was a different one: increasing the minimum wage to match actual minimum living costs won't be cause of hyper-inflation.

True, but a drop in the bucket is meaningful when the bucket's already full.

My view is that the status quo where people end up working on such a low compensation that their personal finance situation is unsustainable, is already unfair.

I don't think it's unfair that I can't live in Beverly Hills; I don't have a right to live in BH and yesterday I had to drive by my local Maserati/Lamborghini dealership knowing I have no business being there either. We have mobility here in the US. Making a living is cheaper elsewhere but many are not willing to use their mobility to go there.

Seniors do it all the time. Once they retire and their income is lower, they change their lifestyle to fit their reduced income. They've taken on the responsibility of preparing for their retirement. In my youth, I'm choosing to go the other direction and "burning the midnight oil" to increase my income to improve my family's lifestyle in the short term and in the long term have a reserve for when I'm no longer working.

If instead I force someone by way of government to give me more of their money for the same work, I'm taking away from someone for my gain. That's not fair either. It's their business, their resources, their time and treasure on the line. "Tweaking" the market to make it more fair is a slippery slope and shifts the responsibility of making the economy work to the "tweakers" instead of keeping it in our own hands. "With great power comes great responsibility." So we give them responsibility and power all with a single vote. Then we complain when "we don't have a voice".

Sorry if I'm too much of a smart-ass, and thanks for the exchange. Cheers.
