Submission + - How Google Filters News (google.com)

Schlacht writes: "I've been reading /. for a long time, but have never written a submission. The /. community is one of the sharpest online (at least from my observations). My question to you all is, "How does Google parse its global headline seeking scripts to create the headlines of news.google.com?"
My morning reading is a scan of google news headlines and sometimes /. This is daily, excluding weekends. Now, I have been following the GOP primary elections since last June and I have an observation: Ron Paul has not been in the headlines of the Top Stories, US News, or any other default filter Google has. I understand Google is big as god and has its fingers in more places than I care to imagine ... but really, could they also be "Filtering" the Ron Paul candidacy like the rest of the main stream media? Thanks in advance for any intelligent input that I might be overlooking here!"
