Star Trek Continues is surprisingly good, IF and only IF you happen to like the old-school filming and storytelling style employed by the original Star Trek. It's an amazingly faithful recreation which deserves a lot of props for hitting the mark so carefully.

Yeah, you DO need a special camera, because most cheap cameras can't handle low-light conditions very well. It also has to have a resolution high enough that people are easily identified in the footage.

I've got 10 drives (6x2.5 + 4x3.5) in one of my Microservers.
Unfortunately ZFS shows up the weak CPU under heavy load, but most of the time (with an additional dual-port ethernet card as well) it's a real trooper.

As I understand it, the differences are mostly mechanical. It's worth noting that the weights of the Green, Red and Black drives are all identical (1.5kg for the 4TB), despite the latter being 7200rpm and the former two being "Intellipower" (5900rpm ?). This suggests they're all mechanically identical. The "Datacentre" drives are heavier (1.66kg @ 4TB), so they are definitely mechanically different. I haven't looked into the specs in depth, but I assume it's an extra platter. If it's not, it's probably a better motor. They're difficult to find these days, but those who have handled 15k 3.5" drives will know they are substantially heavier than 7.2k SATA drives (which I always attributed to better mechanicals). I think you will find the difference between the different consumer-level drives is entirely in firmware (things like TLER, idle head parking, etc).

If the article was about any of those companies I'd be decrying their actions too. Apple tried to make us believe they we going to do better and I think many of us believed that. They lied.

Because Apple made a statement that they would not do business with companies that acted like this, and yet, here they are doing business with companies who act like this.

To think Apple has no influence in this situation is absurd.

She's worth 300 million. What exactly is she putting on the line again? If every single one of her enterprises failed tomorrow, she'd still be set for several lifetimes. Her risk is exactly zero.
