Submission + - Google Announce Google Chrome OS

True ChAoS writes: "Sundar Pichai the VP of Product Management at Google has announced that Google are working on a new operating system targeting Netbooks and heavy internet users.

Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android... Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems

The OS is due to be released towards 2010 and will be based off a new window manager on top of the Linux kernel. Could this be a serious contender to other Lniux distributions and more importantly Windows in the netbook space?"

Submission + - New Apple iPod's Announced (apple.com)

True ChAoS writes: "The new Apple iPods have been announced and you can view them on Apples own site (http://www.apple.com/ipod/whichipod/). Those wanting a full screen video iPod are almost in luck — the new iPod touch is available providing a full touch screen display and wi-fi connectivity but unfortunately it also ships with a paltry 8-16Gb Hard Drive. The classic has been updated with an all metal shell and now offers up to 160Gb of storage. Finally, the Nano now has a wide screen whilst maintaining it's tiny dimensions."
