Hasn't MS always been about the next version?

Many people still don't make backups. Even most of my friends don't, and most of them are quite tech-savvy or even hardened by experience. When one of my friend's hard drive crashes I always laugh at them and say: "Backups are for whimps, no?" That seems to be the only way to make them take backups seriously.

Just look at dolphins. They suffer the unfortunate fate of having no hands and living in the water. Despite their enormous brains they haven't come far in understanding the universe and using that knowledge to their advantage.

That's what I thought too. And the conclusion of the article is 'We don't know the shape of the universe because we can't see far enough.' So the title of this is wrong too.
