Interestingly enough last month that I was back home in Iran, I wanted to install Chrome on my sister's computer and I got the message that it's not possible to download it in Iran. Of course I bypassed this by using a VPN connection. Nevertheless I've always wondered why on earth doesn't the US government comprehend that by doing this, its actually the ordinary Iranian user that is sacrificed here not the Iranian president nor the leader nor the head of IRGC. In fact, my sister was using an old version of IE (you know even if you have the licensed version of Windows the updates are not provided to you for the same stupid reason). and that caused her Facebook account to be hijacked. Thanks to the oil money, our dictator governors have access to the most strategic industrial and military equipments; now the US government thinks by restricting access to Chrome or Gmail they'll be troubled ? What a joke.

You can't be more wrong on this. Maybe that's because you've never met any Iranian. For several reasons, Iranians, by in large, are not conservative. Specially new generations, those of us who were born after the Islamic revolution have very secular, democratic views. Religion plays a very very insignificant role in our lives. If we do not wanna reform our government then why on earth do you think we go to streets to demonstrate, get beaten and arrested? For the fun of it ?

Well, I am an Iranian and I'd say using the word "love" carries a bit of exaggeration. I think Americans are as cool and any other nationalities including Israelite. Actually, my best friends where I live are Americans, not because I love them but because we have common concerns. Also "hate" is exaggeration. I personally see Obama's administration a legitimate thing and his policies seem much wiser than Bush's. And AFAIK most educated Iranians agree with me on those things. In fact as someone else has put, I mostly hate my own governors than those of any other country.

It shows the depth of the stupidity of those who make such decisions. I'm an Iranian and I call tell you that non-democratic regimes like the Iranian government try to isolate their people from the outside world. Thus what M$ does is exactly what dictatorships like Iran and Syria want. Luckily in Iran Yahoo! messenger is way more popular than M$N messenger.
