I don't think a comment of "sad" qualifies as a "bawling rage" and I don't think "a staple of the Marvel Universe and Norse mythology" being changed into a woman is "slight."

These glassholes, for lack of a better term, walk around and act like they are shocked when others don't want a camera on them all of the time.

It is just like if someone walked around holding their phone/camcorder/camera in front of him all of the time and was pointing it everywhere he looked. No one wants that. These glassholes act as they have some sort of inalienable right and if someone complains then their civil liberties have been violated by a glassist.

But I didn't say that.

Sure, he had a history or winning and losing such cases. I'm not saying he wasn't a racist. But that behavior was KNOWN by the NBA & NAACP and overlooked. This is about the tape.

Yeah, but privacy and free speech and all that only applies if you're saying politically-correct stuff. The second you say "nigger" or even mildly criticize some protected group YOU MUST BE DESTROYED!!!!!

That's the odd thing. Sterling didn't even use a slur. From what I understood of the tape, he didn't even have a problem with minorities. He told his girlfriend that she could sleep with anyone she wanted. Again, no slurs. Just don't brag about her boyfriends on Instragram or bring them to the game in public.

He didn't tell his ticket sellers not to sell to minorities. He didn't use any slurs. He employed, from what I understand was a general consensus, the worst GM in the NBA for over 20 years who happened to be a minority. He hired a minority coach.

He was illegally recorded and punished for something he said in the privacy of his own home, not for something he did. Not to mention he was goaded. Listen to the tape. She knew what she wanted him to say and she kept at it until he said it.

This is very scary stuff because there isn't one person alive who wouldn't be ostracized, using this ruler, if a select one minute of their private speech was made public.

Let's see you own something so rare that only 30 other people in the world own and be forced to sell it. See if you think that isn't losing property.

If he's got a problem with his private conversation being recorded, then he needs to sue whoever recorded and leaked it.

What good would that do? He can't get the team back and she can't compensate what he's lost.

Years ago, I remember reading an interview with a GM former employee and he talked about advances in safety. He said, paraphrasing, that GM discovered hundreds of ways each year to improve safety related equipment through R&D and testing, but lawyers prevented from implementing the changes. The lawyers reasoned that the older equipment still passed safety regulations and implementing the improved equipment could open GM to legal action.

Florida resides in two time zones and the northwest "handle" of Florida is heavily Republican. Many voters left lines while voting was open once Florida was called for Gore. IF that hadn't have happened, the recount wouldn't have been close at all.

Having lived in the Panhandle, I very seriously doubt that people who left the lines were Republican. We used to have the term "Yellow Dog Democrat", meaning that the person in question would vote for a yellow hound dog rather than a Republican, but that was back when Democrats were the Party of the (white conservative) South. Before they all started calling themselves Republicans.

In other words, I think that the Panhandle Republicans would have cheerfully stood in line until the next morning if there was even the faintest moonshine of a hope that it would keep an evul Librul tree-hugger like Gore from taking the White House.

Being curious, I did a quick search and found this graphic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election_in_Florida,_2000 The panhandle is heavily Republican.

I agree with you 100% about the panhandle Republicans cheerfully standing in line to prevent Gore from winning. But that isn't what happened. All of the news outlets had projected Gore to win. So the people who were waiting in line thought "Why bother waiting if the election in Florida is over"?
