Submission + - 10 Reasons the iPhone is Not a Business Device (cio.com)
AZA43 writes: "CIO.com has posted a write up of a recent Forrester Research report called "The iPhone is Not Meant for Enterprises," in which the firm lists 10 reasons that it says should keep IT departments from supporting Apple's uber smartphone. Some are on point — no push e-mail, no remote device lock/data wipe functionality — others are pretty weak — no physical keyboard, no proof that the device is a valuable business tool.
What's interesting is that the fact that the iPhone is not a third generation (3G) device, which is a major setback for businesspeople who want to use their iPhones complex enterprise apps, is buried within one of the ten reasons. Seems like that should've been a reason in itself...
Some of the comments from Apple fan boys are amusing, as well."
