Submission + - Run PHP on the Google App Engine (webdigi.co.uk) 1

php-developer writes: "Google App Engine, a cloud computing environment that Google has been working on to host Web applications in a way that, in theory, it provides automatic scalability, so sites can handle large audiences without having to plan and invest on servers to handle large loads. We have now figured out how to run PHP on Google App Engine. You may be wondering how this is possible as Google doesn't support PHP on App Engine. Well its possible because recently Google announced Java as the newest programming language supported by the App Engine. And this made possible to run Quercus which is a 100% Java implementation of the PHP language. So until PHP support is officially added by Google you can play with this approach."
