Windows Embedded for Point of Service has nothing to do with XP, which is a desktop OS, and you have no need to wait for malicious software to bork your system, as you are quite adept at fscking it up yourself (clearly.) For the record I don't give a shit if you put from the rough; there are hetero-douchebags and homo-douchebags. Clearly you could go either way.

Of course, you are full of shit, because the only OS that gets borked on a regular basis is Windollars.

Yes. You are right. You just don't understand what you said. Apple made security improvements. XP no longer makes security improvements. Ergo, it is reasonable to believe they improved security in a way that means XP can't access the system with the new security, since XP only has the old garbage. Understand now? It really isn't that complicated. Seriously.

It isn't a perfectly functional machine you moron. It hasn't received security updates in a year! How stupid can you be? And nobody is forcing you to upgrade. Oh, no. I assure you. It is entirely true. You are applying updates that weren't designed for the OS you are running, and you use a kludge to do it. That in no way suggests that Microsoft didn't EOL XP last year. I assure you. They did. If you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe them?

Newsflash: Not only is it true that companies aren't going to support your incompetence in perpetuity, it is further true that they have been somewhat irresponsible for allowing XP users access to their systems for this long. Perhaps nobody told you that your OS was already a petri dish for viruses prior to all security updates ceasing a year ago.

Then this beauty: "Much like a protocol"The fact that you don't evidently know that protocols and APIs are virtually completely disparate is almost sad.

You wrap it up in a way that wouldn't make it more apparent how clueless you are if you launched a tour on the talk show circuit to announce it and ran for office as the candidate who is "Just as Clueless as the Little Guy!"

"both kernel and application are turing complete" ... Serioulsy ... you are kidding us and trying to make yourself out to be the biggest moron ever to post on Slashdot, right? If so, Bravo Sir.

Considering that "protocol" allows me to type 'sudo rm -rf /' Turing doesn't actually give an fsck at that point now, then, does he?

Just because you don't know what they are doesn't mean that they aren't well known and understood.
