I use Matlab at home and at work... and my work laptop is just a standard Dell notebook - it may not be (in fact it definitely isn't!) great but I can still write, run scripts/models. But should you be using to input characters for large periods of time - eg document editing - which is definitely not an edge case; a keyboard is much better to use than a touchscreen pad - which would also take up space on the display. So you'd end up with a keyboard and a screen to carry around as seperate units.

so.... you have a seperate hard drive and keyboard and an intergrated display & processor... I guess it's easier than carrying a pc and a monitor... but isn't a laptop more convenient? Can your tablet run full versions of software - not stripped out shadows? Can it run software like Matlab.. do you have space to install large programs?

I remeber travelling to Spain last year and visiting a historic site which had posters at the entrance to download an app through wifi which was a virtual tourguide, qavailable in various languages etc...

It's all well and good having super fast transmission capabilities but do we have anything that can process/store data as quickly? It's an honest question as I've always been lead to believe that data storage is the bottleneck.

in the UK, a lot of grammar schools still teach Latin and in mine, I learnt both Latin and Ancient Greek... thoroughly enjoyed it and glad I had the opportunity to learn them. I find myself using it whenever I'm going across Europe as figuring the root words helps translating many of the words.

Again, how does my comment about them being able to follow their laws = massacaring innocents? By definition, killing an innocent is illegal.

How did you get "stand aside while innocents are massacred" from my post? Is it in their law to do so which they are following? Or are the soldiers being ordered to kill people, which is not lawful and as mentioned in my actual post (as opposed to the one you're reading), an event ocurring due to political pressures and outside of the law?

I don't see why it's neccessarily wrong for someone to believe in the death penalty for blasphemy, adultery etc That is the belief of that area so who are you to impose your views on them and brand them wrong?

What is wrong is the mistrials that occur when processes aren't followed because of mob mentality or political pressures.

medieval is subjective... some people approve of the death penalty whilst others don't... doesn't mean either are wrong, just different.
