Kraken137 writes: After this story came out on Dec. 26th, someone decided to contact Verizon and ask for an explanation. The Consumerist has the results — an answering machine message left by a Verizon representative. The rep says that the ads will only appear for users who want them. How will that work out, I wonder?

TheUnknownCoder writes: According to The Register, four executives from Samsung — the world's largest manufacturer of DRAM — have agreed to plead guilty and to serve jail time in the United States for participating in a global conspiracy to fix DRAM prices.
