You don't need iPads in the classroom. School districts would be better off hiring more/better teachers and funding extra-curricular activities than they would spending millions on hardware that is easily broken, stolen, and has a limited lifetime of less than 2 years. There are so many better ways to spend that kind of money. Apple has enough money. They don't need more from our already pathetically underfunded school systems.

In many cases you are not free to do this, as celebrities and their likenesses are trademarked and highly regulated. I imagine if you tried to use Ronald Reagan in any significant way in a novel or artwork you'd hear from his estate. Unless it was fair use or parody, and then you have a lot more flexibility.

Also only serve your guests tap water so as not to use up your bottle water supply? Feed them only leftovers so not to tap into your personal food storage? Only let them watch TV on the small TV in the bedroom so you don't eat up electricity from the big screen??? Make them sit in the cold and dark by refusing to turn on the lights and heat, y'know, cause that shit costs money?

Geez, remind me never to be an invited guest over to your house. You sound like a real winner.

There is a far distinction between the 2004 election that led to Dubya's second term (and this bill under him) and the 2012 election. The Tea Party didn't exist in 2004, and Republicans weren't nearly as batshit crazy and anti-everyone non-male, non-white, non-wealthy, and non-straight as they are now.

I'm sorry, once he was dead all bets are off, despite what the ridiculous copyright laws say. Laws that lock up works for nearly a century after someone dies is a fucking joke. The people shouldn't have to wait 150 years for content to enter the public domain. If his heirs want money they can get up off their asses and get a job like everyone else.

Let's burn coal instead. Cause that's clearly so much better for us.

We had a wood burning stove and fireplace growing up. No one in my family has asthma or any lung-related problems. People have been burning wood as fuel for eons. This is so fucking ridiculous. Seriously, the EPA has nothing better to do than go after people who choose to not give their money to big oil/coal? Gee, I wonder who paid for this "study"?
