2) They've sorta held the trademark for roughly 1400 years or so, and the office for roughly 1973 years (an estimate counting back to when Peter was named to the office, counting Dennis The Short's mathematical hose-ups on the whole Anno Domini tabulations.)

It is somewhat unsurprising that a Catholic is blissfully unaware that nowhere in the New Testament is there any mention of Peter being named to this office, that Jesus even established the Papacy, or that Peter was even regarded as a bishop.

Most references only discuss the concept of Peter being in that role from about the 4th century AD, and indeed the Catholic church had to issue a document in the 1960s to codify this belief as dogma.

Submission + - PhD Speaks out on Physics of Space Battles (gizmodo.com)

darthvader100 writes: Gizmodo has run an article with some predictions on what future space battles will be like.
The author brings up several theories on propulsion(and orbits), weapons(explosives, kinetic and laser), and design.
Sounds like the ideal shape for spaceships will be spherical, like the one in the recent Hitchhiker's Guide move.

Submission + - Mozilla: Firefox Mobile will kill app stores (pcpro.co.uk)

Barence writes: Mozilla claims that its new Firefox Mobile browser could be the beginning of the end for the hugely popular app stores created by Apple and its ilk. Mozilla claims Firefox Mobile will have the fastest Javascript engine of any mobile browser, and that will allow developers to write apps once for the web, instead of multiple versions for the different mobile platforms. "As developers get more frustrated with quality assurance, the amount of handsets they have to buy, whether their security updates will get past the iPhone approval process... I think they'll move to the web," Mozilla's mobile VP, Jay Sullivan, told PC Pro. "In the interim period, apps will be very successful. Over time, the web will win because it always does."

Oracle could easily go after the low-end market by offering a crippled version of the Oracle database

It is called oracle XE, and includes an application framework(Apex - application express)
The only real difference is that XE has a space, ram and processor limitation to whet your appetite for full blown(and priced) Oracle

Tetris is a comunist look at destroying the building blocks of modern society. This is why the straight piece which clears all those lines is RED.

Don't let the simple graphics fool you.

It could also be a FPS in which you play a block trying to kill other blocks and keep respawning as new blocks every few minutes :R - the tongue in cheek smilie

I think it was better than KOTOR 1 storywise.

The storyline was better than kotor1?
Which version were you playing? It can't have been the obsidian version. The main goal is to save 4 jedi, and then if you are good or bad they still all die(what the hell one of them died before you got there, leading to the second most boring planet in the game)

And the prize for most boring planet in the game goes to....
That awful asteroid ship depot thing at the beginning. It has about 15 million cross eyed robots that couldn't hit a large country if they tried.

But turning your party to jedi is cool, right? Not really when they only start getting force points 4/5 of the way through the game then good luck in getting them any decent powers
Even the villains sucked. Notice the big face on the box? He is only named in the game after you kill him
Even the boxart is wrong 3/4 of the pictures on the back are *impossible* to achieve from having lighsabers too early to having a female PC with the NPC you only get if you play as a male.
Even the plot line was broken. Revan was trying to bring down the republic to *save* it? Oh yes Sith regularly try and save the galaxy(because that is what sith do)
In the first section there is a bug that freezes your character when running through some smoke. The only way through is to use an adrenal stimulant or target an enemy on the other side
Character interactions were also mucked up
eg. near the end of the game, NAME used to replace the real name to avoid spoilers>
Handmaiden: My name is actually NAME
~~random conversation~~
Player:So what is your name?
NAME:I'm not telling you that, i don't know you well enough

KotOR was the best game i have ever played(it just had so much awesome) and it is what episode 1-3 should have been. It had all the best parts of the original trilogy redesigned with an exciting plot and fun characters
KotOR2 on the other hand is most likely the worst game i have ever played(and will not be trying NWN2 because of it), dropped plotlines, and oh so many bugs
