The ONLY selling point of the iPhone is the ecosystem. Brand loyalty, huge number of apps and huge installed base. The phone itself is bland compared to all the other offerings(most new phones are essentially an iPhone plus a couple other features, like a high res display or a physical keyboard), and the software is about as advanced as Palm OS 4.0. I don't know how Apple can ship a product in 2009 that doesn't support multitasking.

WebOS doesn't require a jailbreak. You just have to enable it in a hidden menu. Anyone who wants to can easily and safely do it, and instructions were posted by people at Palm.

Sprints Clearwire wimax hardware can be switched over to LTE apparently with just a firmware update.

If LTE takes off, Sprint/Clearwire will almost certainly adopt it.

I disagree with the cap in principle, but even realistically, even when I downloaded over a hundred hours of HD video, I only hit around 150GB for the month. People who go over 250GB regularly are probably using an unreasonable amount of bandwidth.

Again though, I disgree with it in principle, because there is nothing stopping them from lowering it in the future, or forcing them to raise it as usage patters for the internet change.
