These infographics are geared towards sales and that isn't really a significant factor for sales.

Free to play games are where the big money is now. League of Legends made $624 million in revenue in 2013. They even gave out $14.3 Million in tournament prize money.
Crossfire (a counter-strike clone popular outside the USA) had the most revenue and made almost a billion dollars in revenue last year.

Yes, Oculus isn't stopping at 1080p, they said they need at least 1440p, but might go higher, and might possibly have multiple versions that are more expensive but have higher resolution.

I agree the shutdown should be easier, but it isn't as hard as you make it out to be.

1. Move mouse to bottom right corner and the menu appears
2. Click Settings
3. Click Power
4. Click Shut Down

There is a way to make a shut down shortcut on your start screen but it is complicated. You should just be able to right click the power button and add it.. really it should be there by default.

Why are people using metro touch apps on desktops and bitching they don't work well with mice?

If you want to use it like a desktop use the same desktop applications that have always been available the exact same way as you would on Windows 7 and you get the exact same interface as on Windows 7.

If you do this Windows 8 functions exactly the same as Windows 7 but with a different start menu. It isn't hard people.

Performance is still worse because it takes time for it to figure it out. Also certain tasks you don't need the performance for will take it away from what you do. If you just keep them separate performance is always maximized.

Totally agree with this. Put the stuff that benefits from the performance on the SSD, OS, web browser, etc. Put the other stuff on an HDD.

If you're using the caching method you won't always be getting SSD performance on things that actually matter, but if you use them separately you always get maximum performance.

Sony already announced their finalized specs, 1080p, 90 fov, 60hz. The specs don't meet the requirements. And no current PS4 games would work with it because they all run at sub 1080p and sub 60 fps. They aren't going to make any games for it with low enough quality graphics to get good enough framerates and resolution either.

If you actually payed attention to Oculus at all before Facebook bought them you would know it isn't a pump and dump, but all you need to know is that John Carmack and Michael Abrash are working on it. They aren't pump and dump people.

The Oculus Rift is the real deal. They've done their research and figured out what needs to be done to make a good VR experience. 105 degree or higher field of view, low persistence, high frame rate, high enough resolution to get rid of the screen door effect, low input lag, etc. Without the headset meeting all of these criteria VR sucks. The reason it isn't out yet is because the technology isn't there yet, and they are working on getting it there.

Sony's VR solution doesn't even come close in any of the specs needed to be a good experience. It is just going to be another failed VR device like all the VR in the past. Same for many of the other "me too" VR devices coming out. People are going to get all hyped up about them, then reviews will come out and people will actually use them and realize how much they suck and the devices will bomb.

I hope that all these crappy devices coming out don't ruin it for Oculus.
