It is by far my biggest regret in life. I've been so depressed about it I've only managed to post one other time since 2003.
This is exactly how I felt about a lot of recent "vigilantism", either online or in real life. It's too soul crushing for me to believe that there aren't great leaders out there who do understand human behavior. The idea that you need to treat the cause and not the symptoms seems lost on most people and that makes me sad.
Teradata and the other big relational db products (vertical, greenplum, etc) are all _analytical_ databases, designed for small amounts of complex queries, where adding new data to the system takes minutes if not hours. They are completely unsuitable for running a live application against.
No idea where you got that particular piece of misinformation.
But any time Congress does something like this, it's really about protecting the pork.
I'm sure the Constellation has parts built in all 50 states so everybody get's a piece of the action.
