You could comment on how having a smaller laptop makes it more portable, making you more versatile and able to get your work done more quickly from anywhere. Then think of somewhere to go (like a coffee shop or something) and ask if she'd like to come along. also, don't tell her you play games on it.

there are good songs out there... it's just so expensive to get them recorded and produced for radio that the only people doing it are those who have the record deal already lined up. breaking out in a band is like getting your first job: need the car to get to the job, need the job to pay for the car. you need the right gear to sound good, and you need to sound good to make enough money to get the gear you want. the stuff that gets radio play is what the big companies think will sell CDs and sell on iTunes etc. If you don't like what's on the radio, try going to the company's website and checking out all of the bands that are signed. If you don't like any of that, try trolling on myspace for bands. There are a lot of good bands out there that just don't have the cash to make a full record... unless you support them and buy their shirts and go to their shows. the way to get good music is to pay up when you hear something you like.

I run chrome with winXP. Although it does crash occasionally (once a week or so), it has a restore button that allows you to bring back the exact pages you were viewing. I have one of those Acer Aspire netbooks, so the viewable screen area is important to me, and chrome maximizes that. IE and Firefox fill up the top of my screen with all those toolbars and garbage that I really could care less about. Chrome has everything I want in a browser. I like it.

I was expecting something like this to be bulky, but the article's picture shows that the batteries are fairly small. This could be really good for people who travel. I charge my phone while I'm sleeping, but I always have to take the charger along for long trips, and then find a plug.

I'm sticking with XP. I've had a chance to try Vista, and I really hated it. It reminded me too much of a Mac. Flashy graphics make for slow processors. Also, I have 1GB RAM on my lappy, which means that I could just barely run Vista. No thanks, I'll stick to running XP comfortably. There is plenty of product support and compatibility, and it gets the job done for me. As far as people downloading the new windows over BitTorrent, don't they realize that you have to have a genuine copy to get the updates? Or is there a crack out already?

This isn't a problem with the games themselves, just the users who are playing the games. There have to be very strict punishments for people who are caught abusing the trust of the community. Good rule of thumb: If it's not in the game, don't click it. This applies to clan sites, FAQ's, Walkthroughs, all of it. Just don't do it unless you can be certain that it's a reputable site you're going to.
