Submission + - Zionists organize to edit Wikipedia (nytimes.com) 4

djconrad writes: NYTime's The Lede has a piece (and video interview) on an "instruction day for Wiki editors," whose goal is to present a Zionist perspective. From the article: At the opening seminar, attended by about 80 activists, one of the organizers, Naftali Bennett, said that the aim of the course is to make sure that information in the online encyclopedia reflects the worldview of Zionist groups. For example, he said, “if someone searches [for] ‘the Gaza flotilla,’ we want to be there; to influence what is written there, how it’s written and to ensure that it is balanced and Zionist in nature.”

Submission + - Comic Con rejects Fred Phelps (comicsalliance.com) 2

djconrad writes: Anti-Gay preacher Fred Phelps decided to picket Comic Con today, because of their worship of super heroes. This is the participants' response. My favorite signs are "God needs a starship" and "Is this thing on?"

I moved to Southern California a couple of years ago, and the pressure to conform (dress right, listen to the right music, have the right body - and attitude) is immense. I've never seen such a monolithic culture before. I wouldn't be surprised if miserable people were twittering happy thoughts because they don't want someone to think they aren't "chill." Admittedly this is at university, but I doubt it gets better in real life.

But we if could reverse the nacelle polarity, we might be able to couple the externality to the asymmerty with a tachyon burst! That might collapse the price distortion! Not that I disagree with you, but it does look like technobabble.
