You know, some of us remember driving cars that didn't have airbags, antilock brakes, traction control, rear view cameras, auto felch, auto transmission, etc.

Some of us remember, but there would be even more of us to remember if cars back then had had those safety features... well, except the auto felch maybe..

The Netherlands has a large area of greenhouses to produce tomatoes and peppers (and a lot more).

The trouble with greenhouse-grown produce from the Netherlands is that the taste of the vegetables are a pale imitation of what they should taste like. For instance, Dutch tomatoes are watery and bland compared to garden grown tomatoes. Maybe it's because they are picked too green so locally growing could help?

Surely this is proof that copy-paste has been backdoored.

Between the copy action and the paste action, the NSA was able to get in, read the copied text, parse it and then subtly alter it in order to cause confusion and distrust among us. We must act now!

I found an apt quotation from Edmund Burke we should all take to heart regarding acting against the NSA. I'll copy it here:

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do something."

Can you imagine where this will go? Shelf notices that you're overweight and you picked up a candy bar? Screen says, "Are you sure you want to buy that?" This will work great until someone puts a sticker over the sensor bar.

I can't see the stores limiting their profits sales by trying to dissuade customers from purchasing.

More likely, if the sensor sees you're overweight, when you pick up a candy bar a voice will say " Go on, take five! Take ten! Take them all! You know you want to!"

To make it worse there's this pseudo fanatical craze to get rid of nudity with a passion but violence? not so much. somehow nudity is worse...reminds me of the MPAA rating system. Sure you can show blood, but the naked human body? are you out of your mind?!

In the US, maybe. In a lot of European countries, at least, there is a more relaxed approach to nudity and a greater abhorrence to depictions of violence.
