Actually, that's exactly what has been happening on facebook pages in Thailand.

All major laws cannot be enacted in Thailand without the explicit approval of the King. You can verify this by reading the 2007 Constitution. Publicly, Thai royalty has no influence on the laws. But you'll see otherwise if you read wikileaks.
The pardoning is only for those who have less than 3 years left of their sentence, and only once a year. Those accused of Lese Majeste typically have 5 to 20 year sentences. You're likely to spend several years in prison before being asked to sign a statement that you love the king before you can be released.
I'm happy with my $3k gas scooter that does 70mpg in the city, 80 mile range, and up to 55mph. Oh, and it has no problems going uphill with a second rider =)
Oh, and it can be bought *today* without having to assemble it myself.
I agree that the government loans are inflating the cost of education. The supply (number of universities) is staying the same, while the demand (people who can afford university) is going up. Markets will naturally raise prices to cope - it's effectively a subsidy that profits the university. This is effectively the same argument concerning health insurance, a subsidy inflating medical costs.
But on the other hand, I probably couldn't have afforded my education if I didn't have federal loans to help . . .
There might be another solution, such as using the loan money to instead increase the number of universities - ie increase the supply.
I've also done an entire robot voice controlled, with wheels and two arms, and all the hardware and software are open source (done to the smallest detail, and easy to understand).

"Vlcek assumed that many of the people running XP SP2, which Microsoft stopped supporting with security patches a year ago, have declined to update to the still-supported SP3 because they are running counterfeits."
I, and many others I know in a forum I frequent, won't upgrade to SP3 as it breaks USB. It's a known bug (for many years) that USB becomes significantly slower in SP3 (it's not known what hardware configurations can avoid the bug). This causes problems with data transfer speeds.
Pain from cluster headaches are caused by vasodilation near a pain nerve in the head. LSD is a vasoconstrictor, which is why it works.
But not any more than ergotamines, caffeine, pure oxygen inhalation, or a simple ice pack applied to the head - much better options when 'drain bramage' is a concern.
(I'm agreeing with your post, just adding on to it)
I like how they used a Segway, then added a 3rd wheel to it.
Agreed.
I just launched a balloon (again) last Sunday.
The balloon and helium alone cost us $800 (we made it to 103k ft using a bigger more expensive balloon).
Unless people are giving you free money, thats the bare minimum - not even accounting for the cost of tracking and filming equipment. Or the gas needed to drive 4 hours following the balloon . . .
Just as an example, Hotmail for years used 'What is your favorite color' as a security question.
Its been cracked at least since the end of 2008, when my reCAPTCHA protected site started getting inundated by spammers again . . . I've been telling people since we need a new defense, but all I heard back was 'reCAPTCHA is invincible'.
It's an arms race, a never ending one, and spammers will always figure out a way around anything - given time.
