How long has this been around without me knowing about it?

I have lots of silly little complaints in the world that really aren't worth dedicating a whole thread to. I just like to get them off my chest, out in the open, and blow off some steam. Feel free to add your own gripes. If something's niggling at you, heck just let it out.

I'll start:

I hate the way people take silly risks while they're driving just to shave a few precious seconds to their destination. I was driving down a street tonight, and somebody pulled out of a grocery store lot and made a left turn, causing them to cross 3 lanes of traffic. Fortunately, it wasnt that dangerous, traffic was light and I didn't have to slow down a whole lot. But I still feel like that risk was unnecesary. Make a right turn, and a couple of lefts at a stoplight. Do you lose a couple of minutes? Sure. Are you going to get T-boned that way? Not likely.

Hi All,

I'm trying to find a sensor that I can implant in a device and have it detect how many degerees it's tilted. A mercury switch might work if there's a way of getting a degree angle out of it. Another idea was something gyroscopic...

Before I go off and invent this device, I'd like to know if anybody's ever heard of one. Help?

What's really amusing is that my post was along the lines of "I did a cool hack to make animation faster." and this dumbshit tried to turn it into a "LW vs. Maya" debate. I got lightly suckered in, couldn't help it. When you spend so much time learning how to make effective use of a product, you can't help but make your time worthwhile.

Too bad he was an AC. I bet he never saw my response. Coward.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can stream television shows off of a website on demand. I'm happy to sit through commercials if it means that I can watch a series like Deep Space Nine or Farscape in the order they were presented.

I think the plus side to this delivery model is that shows can be more complex, thus retaining a more faithful audience.

I'm not sure how much it'd cost to set something up, but damn it sure makes me want to go out and create my own series.

I wish there was a place where I could challenge moderation sometimes. Part of me wonders what would happen if everybody could moderate. I wonder what kind of chaos that would ensue, heh.

One thing that really frosts me is I have no idea who modded me down. So I can't even approach them privately and say "why did you think I was trying to be a troll?". If that were the case, I might discover that the tone of my messages is being interpreted differently than the way I see it. In that case, I can change my tone and not sound so abrasive.

Nope, I can't do that, and the moderators NEVER reply to my post and tell me why. So what do I do?
