Actually what happens if EU decided to make an CO2 import tax om all wares produced in countries who don't lower their CO2 levels to the same as EU ?

All countries dependent on EU would have to lower CO2 emissions too. Thus most countries in the world would do the same as EU to make sure other countries dont get trade advantages from them and also force their import goods to have a low impact CO2 footprint.

Thus everyone will be forced to do it. Just because EU is such a big and important importer of goods.

So yes Linux has come a long way. Windows may still own the desktop. Market share in what is though of as the PC-market (desktop/laptop/nettbook) its only 1.64% today. But in market share of the computers that are used to surf on the net, supercomputers, servers real time system there Linux are thriving.

Since the code is free you can just buy support from any IT company who offers it. You are not forced to buy it from the original manufakturer. So with Linux - you can basically get eternal support if you want it.

The truth is if Microsoft sold it off they could probably get very good payment from other companies that would love to take over support and upgrades of Windows XP.

Doesnt matter if they call it ad.name.com or partners.name.com or media.name.com or whatever.name.com

If its all ads from one of the "legit" subdomains, its easy to block just that domain.

If that is hidden behind a URL scheme with www.name.com/ads/ (or /media/ /partners /whatever/ ) its easy to block.

If ads is added bya specific script file that all webpages include - just block that script file.

Blocking ads speed up the browsing. If you never intend to buy from internet-ads anyway and instead
always use consumer compare sites for selecting which product to buy - who needs ads anyway ?

Actually the reverse is probably more true.

The fact that 25% of jobs are claimed to be dependent on IP does not mean that those job will get lost if no IP existed. There is alot to suggest that most of those jobs would still be in demand even if IP does not exists. Because someone need to program that software. someone need to write that music and someone need to write that book.

The business would change yes - but there still would be a demand for the products so how much loss in jobs would one see if all IP was no longer enforaceble ? And how many new business oppurtunies and new jobs would we not see if IP was abandoned ?

Removing IP can lead to a world with even more jobs available then before.
