Its snowing outside .. its the first fricken day of spring and its snowing! it took me 20 minutes to drive 6 miles cuz some crazy bitch in a white car could only go 30Mph.. the roads arent that bad, crazy lady ...
Patents? oh, "Today TomTom got sued by FredFred for its alleged infringments on creating a name using the same word twice."

dont stop grilling, but you stop eating outside.. beer tends to freeze, and its hard to hold a fork with gloves on.
I have a tradition on firing up the grill when we butcher deer (november). nothing like eating fresh tenderloin after a long day of hunting.
I agree.. cook on the grill all year long, nothing better then food cooked with charcoal, better taste.

Fahrenheit just makes more sense to most of us. 30s = cold, 40s = chilly, 50s = cool, 60s = decent/might need a windbreaker, 70s = nice, 80s = warm, 90s = hot, etc, etc.

Im from minnesota:
60 above zero: Californians shiver uncontrollably. People in Minnesota sunbathe.
35 above zero: New York landlords finally turn up the heat. People in Minnesota have the last cookout before it gets cold.
Zero: Californians fly away to Mexico. People in Minnesota get out their winter coats.
10 below zero: Hollywood disintegrates. The Girl Scouts in Minnesota are selling cookies door to door.
20 below zero: Washington DC runs out of hot air. People in Minnesota let the dogs sleep indoors.
40 below zero: ALL atomic motion stops. People in Minnesota start saying...'Cold enough fer ya?'
50 below zero: Hell freezes over. Minnesota public schools will open 2 hours late

back to the subject, anyone thinking of a 104F data center is crazy, its back enough when it gets ot be 80 in the office, i couldnt stand working in that heat ... Although i have (in kitchens) but thats different.

In this day in age, everyone wants to coolest things, and THAT can be accomplished with linux. show fluxbox with transparencies, or compiz kickin ass.
Id love to see a TV commercial showin how 'cool' linux is (and it is the definition of cool)

Its too bad people practice this kind of business. Company Execs, lining their pockets, not caring about ethics. I have always prided myself on being fair to a client, and making sure they get what they want.
This is deeply disturbing to me. i hope the people of /. have a more ethics when it comes to this, and know that just because it happens, doesnt make it right.
From a smaller business point (like mine) i dont need to advertise because my work speaks for itsself. People dont come to me because im an only option, they ask for my labor because they know im good at what i do, and im honest. Its a good feeling to know that you took the extra step to give what you were asked of.

I would put money on it to say, Metallica is one of the greatest rock bands. Maybe not now, but since 1981, how many records have the sold. And even today, can they not pack 30k - 50k into a stadium, everytime? who else can do that? Maybe im urguing with a bunch of people that like Britney spears or classic rock. Ive listen to metallica since i was 6, and everywhere i go, everyone knows who Metallica is.
Their sound might have changed, and they might not be as heavy as they once were, but they still have some wicked guitar licks. Lars is awesome on the drums, and their lyrics are pretty damn good.
If you dont like metallica thats fine, go listen to some pop music.

Im not sure how the copyright for music works, but i would think if you own the CD, you have a right to the music, and downloading it would be legal, because you bought the right to have it. I would also think that Lars owns a copy of Death Magnetic.
and for the whole Napster cry, get over it, Metallica stood up for what was right and im glad they did it. just like anyone else that holds a copyright or patent on something, its there to protect you, and when people bypass that and download illegally, something needs to be done.
Also, about a week after DM came out, i googled "Death magnetic CD" and the first link was a download to the whole CD.
If you dont like DM, dont buy it. Metallica Rocks, Pirating is wrong, and You suck.
